
Dr. Tania Heap is the director of learning research and accessibility in the Center for Learning Experimentation, Application, and Research (CLEAR), Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation (DSI), and adjunct faculty in psychology at UNT. She has been involved in online and technology-enhanced learning initiatives in different capacities for over 15 years. Her background and interests are in practice-based research in educational technology, digital accessibility and universal design for learning, and scholarship of teaching and learning.

Follow these steps to try the VR experience recommended during Tania Heap’s talk at TEDxUNT:
- Open the YouTube app on your phone.
- Search for “Send Me Home 360” and select the first video by Lonelyleap.
- Jump to the 1:00 minute mark in the video.
- Click the goggle icon on the lower-right corner and place the phone in the cardboard VR goggle you received at TEDxUNT to see what it was like in Rickey Jackson’s jail cell.
